Hello!
This year has gone by so fast and a lot's changed in that time. I went from working part-time to full-time and I slowly cast aside this side project of mine. After a summer of a lot of reading (I read 48 books from June 1 to September 4!!!) and keeping track on my digital reading log, I was inspired to revamp the book journals I published last summer.
At first, I intended to just make minor design changes, but after comparing what I published last year to what I was using now, a lot of what I was looking for in a reading log was missing from my published journals. And so, after a few long nights and hours of designing, I'm so pleased to officially launch the new version of my book journal (note: that being said, the 2022 version is no longer available for purchase and have been deleted from my Amazon page).
The new and improved book journal is a practical and minimalist 140 page reading log & guided journal for book lovers. I always aim to create designs I find pretty to look at on their own but can easily be embellished to accommodate for personal preferences - I love to add colourful washi tape and stickers to mine (because I'm a maximalist at heart lol)! I also created 5 new covers (with more to come) and kept 1 of the previously published Book Journal covers.
UPDATE NOV. 07, 2023: At first I made 1 version, as seen below, but the day I posted this blog post (& intended to launch publicly) while I was washing dishes, I dropped and broke a glass pitcher and accidentally stabbed my hand. As a result, I severed the artery, nerve, and tendon to my middle and ring finger on my left hand and was admitted into the hospital for 3 days to get emergency surgery. After my surgery, I was unable to use my left hand as my wounds healed (I got a nerve graft from my wrist to reattach the nerve in my hand) and understandably, put this project on the back burner. After almost 2 months post operation and after weekly rehab, I'm finally able to use my hand though I still have a bit to work on (I still can't fully extend my fingers or make a fist). Anyways, all that being said, I figured since I was feeling better I might as well launch a new version of my book journal while I relaunch the first one lol. I've been using the Book Lover cover of the first version since I've published it to test it out and I've found it to be much more helpful in keeping track of all things bookish and I've loved using it so much I stopped using my digital reading log. Both versions are now available to purchase on Amazon (in all countries Amazon ships to), you can also find more information on my journals in my shop (link to purchase below).
